No it is not mandatory to have parents with you. All you need to carry is the following documents:-

1. KCET 2021 application form printout.
2. Proof of application fee payment.
3. KCET 2021 admit card.
4. Score card of SSLC/10th Standard.
5. Score card of 2nd PUC/12th Standard.
6. Two recent passport size photographs.
7. Study Certificate Counter signed by the concerned BEO/DDPI.
