For engineering, of course what can be better option than an IIT (Indian Institute of Technology). In fact, some IITs are world best colleges for engineering. There are 23 IIT in all over India. IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IITKharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, etc are few of them leading in the sector of engineering studies.

After IITs, NITs (National Institute of Technology) are also too good for engineering. There are many NITs in India. You have to give JEE MAIN and JEE advance for getting into an IIT and JEE MAINS only for an NIT.
