Yes, your Scheduled Caste caste certificate from 2013 can be used for MHT CET 2025 if it is valid and from the proper authority in Maharashtra. But you also need a Caste Validity Certificate, which proves your caste is genuine. This certificate is very important for reserved category admissions. If your certificate is old, you may need to renew it before applying. Always check the college’s rules and keep all documents ready for admission.

For the upcoming 2025 admissions, the validity of your 2013-issued scheduled caste (sc) certificate is contingent upon the most recent Maharashtra government regulations. If your certificate was issued prior to 2016, you may be required to obtain a "validity certificate" from the caste scrutiny committee of Maharashtra.  Certificates issued after 2016 are typically valid without the need for renewal.  Because your certificate is from 2013, it's advisable to have it revalidated before the counseling deadline in 2025.

Hello,

Yes, a Scheduled Caste (SC) caste certificate issued in 2013 can be used for documentation in MHT CET 2025 , provided it is valid. In Maharashtra, caste certificates typically remain valid for 5 years.

Since your certificate was issued in 2013, it may no longer be valid. Therefore, you should apply for a new caste certificate from the competent authority to ensure its acceptance during the MHT CET 2025 documentation process.

Hope it helps !

Hi Sahil,

No, a Scheduled Caste (SC) caste certificate issued in 2013 may not be accepted for MHT CET 2025 documentation. The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell states that the caste certificate must be valid and issued by a competent authority in the correct format. Moreover, many recent admission guidelines required the certificate to be of recent or revalidated status, especially if it was issued more than a few years ago.

To be safe, it is strongly recommended to request renewal or revalidation of the old 2013 certificate from the competent authority, to avoid the risk of issues in the document verification stage after the attempt.

hi,

No, a Scheduled Caste (SC) certificate issued in 2013 will not be accepted for MHT CET 2025 admission process. The certificate must be valid and up-to-date as per the rules set by the Maharashtra CET Cell. You will also need a Caste Validity Certificate. If you haven’t renewed your caste certificate yet, it’s best to apply for a new one from your local authority as soon as possible. During the admission rounds, you can submit the application receipt temporarily, but the final certificates must be submitted before the deadline to confirm your seat under the SC category. If not, your application will be treated as open category. So, update your documents early to avoid any last-minute problems.
