Yes, you are eligible to appear for GATE Entrance Examination if you Electronics and Communication Engineering graduate from IIIT. To appear for GATE a candidate must have passed B.E/B.Tech or its equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized board. Candidates who are studying in third or fourth of B.E/B.Tech are also eligible to apply for GATE.

Obviously you can appear for GATE. There is no boundaries for IITs, NITs or private college students.

Eligibility for GATE:-

1. Indian nationality
2. No age limit
3. Candidates must have passed graduation in engineering/technology or Master’s degree in any relevant science subject.
4. Candidates in pre-final or final year of their qualifying degree also eligible to appear for GATE 2022
5. Candidates who have obtained/are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India: Must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or completed their Bachelor’s degree (duration: at least 3 years) in Engineering / Technology / Science / Arts / Commerce.
