As per your requirement, i would say that as per your query mentioned above, you can take admission in engg collegr even after diploma.

You can take the jee exam and as per their rank,cut off and marks along with other reservation criteria can take admission as their preffered collegr.

The basic eligibility criteria consist of important details includes educational qualification , age limit, nationality, subjects in Class 12/10+2 or equivalent and other mandatory details. JEE Main 2020 January attempt will be conducted from January 6 to 11 in complete online mode.

Getting a seat in college is depending on many factors like studenrs to seat ratio, cut off, reservation, ranking of college, etc

Cut off varies evert year as per your reservation category and no. Of students applying for the same.

Or else, you can get admission with low cut off through management quota also.
