Through the process, you can change your branch after 1st, 2nd and 3rd year.

But not in the center of year.

Depending on your score and number of seats available, the college gives permission to change branch annually in NIT Andhra Pradesh.

So, Yes , students are given a chance to change their branch after completion of Second Semester or in some colleges even after 1st semester.

Students are eligible for the changes in branch after they fulfill some particular conditions as prescribed by the University/institute for the respective change.

As per the official notification from the NIT Andhra Pradesh-

Only those students will be eligible for consideration for a change of branch after the I Year II semester, who have a. Completed all the credits prescribed in the I Year I semester and I Year II semesters. Obtained a Normalized score of not less than 70 at the end of the I Year II semester in single attempt only.
