Satisfied overall because of good college infrastructure.

    College Infrastructure

Our college provides plenty of facilities. As we all know, in government colleges, most of the time, Wi-Fi is low. We can get most of the books from the library, but the seating space might be limited. It has a canteen and mess facilities, which are good and cost-friendly.

    Academics

Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Just the teaching quality is quite good. We are getting relevant courses, but less company interaction leads to poor quality of engineering. End-semester exams are pretty difficult, and 70-80% of students pass exams.

    Placements

In the year 2024-25, the average package offered is 6 LPA, which is pretty low for any student getting placed. 61% of students got placed this year. The highest package offered is 18 LPA by Oracle. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel and Bosch. 70% of students get internships in companies like JSW, and many get research internships at IITs. Roles like quality assurance engineers, etc., are offered here.

My college is good and I think they are doing their best

Great infrastructure according to fees. They majorly provide all the basic facilities like a library, ACs in classrooms, good speed Wi-Fi, labs, medical rooms, an auditorium, etc. This college also promotes sports and games which helps students a lot. They have also a huge canteen with good quality food.

    Academics

I'm impressed with the faculty and teaching staff there. They have a lot of knowledge and skills which directly influence students to score better. They guide students in a proper manner but do not follow the regular schedule of classes. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are tough to pass.

    Placements

There are good placements for students. It is not very active but has a decent placement cell. Around 50-60% of students get placements easily every year. The highest package is 20 LPA. The average is 5 LPA. Top-score students got placements in reputed companies easily.

The departmental facilities are top-notch with state-of-the-art laboratories, wi-fi connectivity, smart classrooms and research facilities. The hostel facilities are comfortable with clean and regularly maintained hostel rooms, with clean common washrooms and common recreational area.

    Academics

The teachers are well educated and qualified with many of them being from The curriculum is industry relevant. The pass percentage is very high with only 2-3 people failing the course. The semester exams have difficult moderate to hard.

    Placements

Around 80% of students were placed in this course. In recent years we can SEE a decline in the core companies coming for recruitment, the lowest package being 4lpa and the highest CTC offered to a fresher being 8-9 LPA. The only core company coming for recruitment is Honeywell, around 8-10% people got at internship.

Recently new meta building is built. So its more spacious now. Library, classrooms, and labs are of course on top notch. The labs and lab assistant teachers are also good. Real issue is with Wi-Fi. In most of campus area, there are a lot of network as well as Wi-Fi issues. About hostel, its not less than home. Mess food is a little messed up. But its better than other colleges' mess. There are two canteens in the college. The meta canteen is good. But both canteens are a bit suffocating.

    Academics

Teachers are good. But the distribution of teachers is not good. In my case mechanical branch got most perfect teachers compared to us for the same subject. And for us we have teachers who don't teach that well and also who don't give proper marks in exams too. So, it badly affects our overall CGPA. Exams a good and strict too. About curriculum, we have a lot of clubs around 50, and gathering, impression, mindspark, etc. Some clubs are really good for career growth like robotics, aerospace, etc.

    Placements

Almost 77% of students in metallurgy branch got placed last year. The highest package is around 25 LPA and the average salary is 8 LPA. Core industries like steel companies, mining, etc., are strongly approaching metallurgy students. Some students have chosen non-core roles too and some went for higher studies.

    College Infrastructure

College hostel is affordable but not livable. There are 4 people in one room, and there are common washrooms and bathrooms so hygiene is very low. Mess has both veg and non-veg with no different kitchen so for veg people it is a very big problem. Regarding the course, the NEP has been applied to the course so it is very difficult to tell how the course is.

    Academics

Some of the faculty members are the best in their areas but some are the worst. They just come and go. They don't bother about how much the students understand. Exams are taken in a strict environment so there are no chances of cheating. Curriculum is properly planned.

    Placements

As there is an overall in job placements in the industry due to the fear of AI, there is a decline in placements. If you have better CV and a high CGPA you could get an average package of 12 LPA. Some of the companies that have visited this year are Bajaj, Nvidia, TRX,

Labs and classrooms hostles with the faculty members of AC and Non AC in option with num of beds. All are with top quality and Mess also there are a lot of options with Non veg, non veg and special mess ( with extra juices and all )that is optional we can choose.

    Academics

Teachers are with top class and knowledgeable and the quality of teaching is first class and they are very friendly and helpful and ciricullam is quite acceptable when it comes to exams I would say there are cat1 and cat2 which is open book so that we try to learn the concept in depth rather by hearting the process and pass percentage is 50

    Placements

could say compared last 2 years placements are kept on increasing in number top companies visit every year and also the main positive is that there are so many clubs that u learn from and more to explore for the new things, choice of selecting the faculty members of our own and many more facilities that a student should get and one negative is that too much crowded.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of campus life

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college and classrooms are good. There are some classrooms equipped with air conditioners. However, most of the classrooms have fans only. The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi (34 MB free for 1 day. However, the hostel rooms are decent with a Wi-Fi facility.

    Academics

Faculty members are average. They have the knowledge of the topics. Exams are conducted without any fixed prior schedule. Dates generally vary as scheduled during the commencement of semesters. In the Examination, the majority of the students depend on micro and heat. The invigilator also knows this but they don't take very strict action if anyone gets caught.

    Placements

Mass recruiters are Capgemini, Accenture, and Infosys. They offer a package of around 3-5 LPA. Around 60-70% of students get placements with such packages. However, if you have extra skills, you can grab around 7-8 LPA in the college. For this year, the placement states are not up to satisfactory level and it's still going on.

In the library, all books are easily available. The fastest internet is provided. Hostels are well-maintained with spacious rooms, Wi-Fi connectivity, purified drinking water, and 24x7 electricity backup. Security is good, and wardens are cooperative. The mess serves a balanced diet with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The taste is average but hygienic

    Academics

All teachers and professors are very friendly and helpful. Their knowledge is amazing. According to my own experience, the chemical engineering course is valuable. Semester exams in our college are basically not so difficult, but sometimes it is. Faculty members are approachable and supportive.

    Placements

More than 80% of students get placed. The highest package offered is around 12 LPA by top recruiters in the core and IT sectors. The lowest package is 3 LPA for entry-level roles. The average package offered ranges from 4.5-5 LPA, depending on the branch and students' performance. Top recruiting companies for our course are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is very good from outside. But when you get into it, classrooms are not properly maintained and floors are cracked everywhere. Main attraction for students is the campus of Haldia Institute of Technology which is big enough for a private college in our surroundings.

    Academics

Teachers are experienced enough to manage, but not highly experienced or talented in solving problems. Till now, I haven't encountered any teacher skilled enough to handle boarding classes. Proper syllabus management is missing and syllabus completion does not take place.

    Placements

Not many students get placed. But the average salary package offered is quite good enough to manage, as in a private college. The highest salary package offered depends on how well one masters a skill to get into a multinational company. If one has good skills, one can crack into any company.

Have a question related to NIT Andhra Pradesh ?

With an OBC Home State (HS) category rank of 26,548, your chances of securing a seat in NIT Andhra Pradesh are limited, especially for competitive branches like Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). Based on the 2024 cutoff data, the closing ranks for CSE and ECE in the OBC HS category were significantly lower than your rank. However, you might have a chance in less competitive branches such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. It’s advisable to monitor the JoSAA counseling rounds and consider participating in spot rounds if available.

For more details you can visit the link given below

    Hello,

Based on previous years' cut-offs, to secure a seat in the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering branch at NIT Andhra Pradesh under the EWS category for other state candidates, the closing ranks were

    - 2024 : Closing rank was 8,459.

    - 2023 : Closing rank was 9,065.

Hope you find it useful !

Hi my self yuvaraj singh my question is that can I get nit andhra pradesh for 91.1 percentail my catagory is ST

    Hello student

To get into NIT Andhra Pradesh, you need to meet the following criteria :

    - *JEE Main Exam*: You need to take the JEE Main exam and qualify for JoSAA Counselling and CSAB Special Round.

    - *Class XII Marks*: You need to secure at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) in Class XII or be within the category-wise top 20 percentile in your respective Class XII board examination.

Since you belong to the ST category and have a percentile of 91.1, you may have a good chance of getting into NIT Andhra Pradesh . However, the final decision depends on various factors such as:

    - *Cutoff Ranks*: The cutoff ranks for ST category students vary every year. You need to check the latest cutoff ranks for NIT Andhra Pradesh to know your chances.

    - *Seat Matrix*: The seat matrix for NIT Andhra Pradesh also varies every year. You need to check the latest seat matrix to know the number of seats available for ST category students.

    - *JoSAA Counselling*: You need to participate in JoSAA Counselling and CSAB Special Round to get a seat in NIT Andhra Pradesh.

I recommend checking the official website of NIT Andhra Pradesh or contacting their admissions office to get the latest information on cutoff ranks, seat matrix, and admission procedures .
