As you know that the JEE Main exam score is used for the admission of NIT's,IIIT's and GFTI's.To get admission in IIT you need to qualify JEE Advance exam. With 86.5k rank you won't be able to get even low NIT or IIIT.The total number of seats in NIT are 21,133 and the total number of seats in IIIT are 4300 approximately. So it's way difficult to get NIT or IIIT seat with these score.
