In West Bengal, mostly in Kolkata many autonomous Institutes or universities offer direct admission to B.tech courses through Jee Main score or WBJEE score or your class 12th or qualifying examination score. Some of those Institutes are

• Brainware University
• Techno India University
• University of Engineering and Management
• Swami Vivekananda Institute of Science and Technology
• Regent Education and Research Foundation
• Dream Institute of Technology
• Guru Nanak Institute of Technology
• Narula Institute of Technology

etc. In case of direct admission, the fees Structure may not be as same as the students who have got the seats through counselling process.

If you got a better rank in WBJEE and your rank comes under the round 1 of the counselling then you can get a government quota seat in a reputed college.

If you are not satisfied with your rank and it comes under round 3 but you want to get seats in top college you can go for management quota directly to the colleges but WBJEE rank will not be given more importance it depends upon the demand for the seat and the fees structure will not be the same as for the government quota.
