As of having home state quota you may get addmission in NIT  Srinagar but to get a core branch there is quite difficult. The thing I want to make you clear that NIT srinagar is a NIT for the sake of name as having NIT tag only. Being NIT it is one of the thrid class NIT of india. Even many private colleges in India are better than it.So understand the facts first & then go  for a decision.
