My experience at NIT Srinagar has been good overall. The institute provides a healthy academic environment along with opportunities to participate in technical, cultural, and sports activities. Studying in such a scenic location is a unique experience, and the college has helped me grow both academically and personally.however there is a little problem for hostels . They are quite overloaded , we had 8 roommates in ist year which was quite disturbing and suffocating at same time . Rest is good, wifi cleanliness and other classrooms were good
The academics are well structured, and the curriculum covers the fundamentals of engineering. Most faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive, although the teaching methods differ from one professor to another. More practical exposure and industry-oriented projects would make the learning experience even better. Just a drawback that , curriculum is less up to date
Placement opportunities at NIT Srinagar are good, particularly for Computer Science and some core branches. Many reputed companies visit the campus, and students who maintain good academic performance and develop technical skills have good placement prospects.
Yes, NIT Srinagar offers good value for money. Being a government institute, the tuition fee is reasonable compared to many private engineering colleges. The quality of education, experienced faculty, placement opportunities, campus facilities, and the NIT brand make the investment worthwhile. Students who actively participate in academics and skill development can gain significant value from their time at the institute.
Campus life is vibrant, with various technical clubs, cultural societies, sports events, and annual fests. Students from different parts of the country create a diverse and welcoming environment, making college life enjoyable beyond academics. Scenery is vry good.
Fresh air and scenic beauty . Weather is just very perfect . Environment is quite competitive . It's gud but ofcourse some more collages could be better . Therefore overall experience is good

Yes the placement is too high in my college. The quality of placement in my college is so much good.i think 65 percent of students is placed in my college per year. The highest salary is 25 lakh per year .
My college is best for the value for money. Because my cost per year is only 40000 it's include food , hostal ,and teaching fee. Yes I feel my money is worth . I belong to a middle class family and it's best for me .
It was really nice. This compus gives u alot of opportunities a very compititive and learning environment with the great minds and osam profesor and you get to explore your personality in all files like sports.
The level of teaching is so good and I suggest that every body should come this college.
The infrastructure of college is very calm and greeny and feels like less stressed and relaxed always. Classrooms are spacious labs are functional, and the scenic campus near dal lake is beautiful. hostels are average but facilities are gradually getting better.
Academics are well structured with experienced professors who are supportive. The curriculum is relevant, though students must put in self- effort. Regular exam, assignments and projects help build strong technical foundations.
Placements are moderate with good opportunities for top performers. core and IT companies visit the campus and seniors are helpful with guidance. Internship opportunities are improving year by year with better exposure.
Considering the low fees of NIT, the college offers good value for money, which helps in higher studies and career opportunities and a strong peer group/networking . The campus life, natural surroundings, and learning environment together justify the investment and help in both personal and professional growth.
Campus life at NIT Srinagar is calm and refreshing. Being surrounded by nature makes everyday college life peaceful. I enjoyed spending time with friends, participating in culture events, and balancing academics with with moments with of fun and relaxation.
Life at NIT Srinagar is a mix of academics, cultural fests and nature inside the the campus. The campus environment is peaceful, and student form strong friendships. Cultural events add fun and make the overall experience memorable.
The campus is honestly one of the most beautiful in the country with a scenic view of Dal lake and surroundings mountain. some hostels are a bit old. but they are manageable overall the natural beauty makes the college feel special.
academics at nit srinagar are pretty good. the faculty is experienced and helpful, though like every college. he syllabus is well structured and updated as per industry needs. students get enough exposure to projects and research. .
Placement are decent for core branches like CSE, IT and ECE. big companies like infosys, tcs, wipro and some product based firm visit the campus. the highest package go to CSE students while other branches get average package.
Facilities are okay, with classrooms that are functional and equipped with WiFi and smartboards. Laboratories meet basic needs. The library is large but lacks some newer resources. Sports facilities are acceptable, though not always fully utilized. Hostels need better cleanliness, and food needs improvement.
Engineering was my choice because of the variety of career options in this field. The teaching quality is satisfactory, with professors providing a good theoretical foundation. The curriculum, however, is a bit outdated and could be improved to cover more modern advancements like IoT and 5G technologies.
The quality of placements for engineering students has been excellent, with over 80% of students securing offers. The highest salary package ranged between 25 and 30 LPA, highlighting strong industry connections. The median package stood at 11 to 12 LPA, which is competitive in the engineering sector. The placement process was smooth, with the college offering tremendous support at every stage.
yes, our college has all the facilities and infrastructures we have facilities like wifi, smart boards and seating and acoustics, and labs are euipped up to date equipment relevent to the subjects being taught
I'm studying mechanical engineering because i'm interested in machines and the quality of teaching is excellent, faculty are so interactive with the students. syllabus is updated date to date without any late.
the placements are quite good 40 percent of students are placed in our college and the highest package is 40 lakhs/annum. the average salary is 6/annum and the placement process is so easy our is very supportive
course cost is 150000/annum and its worth for it
our is campus is india's no 1 beautiful college. it is best in its infrastructure and academic performance, students engage in sports and cultural activities. staff is very friendly with students .it is safe and it can handle emergencies.
Wow, that's what you will say after looking at our campus. Beautiful view with greenery and more amazing in the rainy season. I didn't like the mess food at all. Also good built hostel rooms with proper wifi facilities are present.
A decent academics are their in the college. Teachers are good but at same time some of them are just being following the old pattern. We are being taught some good industry required technologies at the college but need more to grab the best packages.
The on campus placements are good at NIT srinagar more over some best of best companies recruit students from the CSE branch. Also their are a good no. of companies for the other branches also. The average package is around 10.5 Ipa.
The college infrastructure is very good and having a big campus with full of amenities. The college has hostel facilities, message facilities and well equipped labs , wifi are everywhere, libraries are there .
I am studying B.tech in civil engineering and the quality of teaching is excellent. The curriculum is updated and it includes all the recent developments and the practicals and theroies, whatever we study makes us job ready.
The quality of the placements is very good and almost 90% of the students gets placed and some of them became entrepreneurs . The highest packaged offered is around 25 lpa and the average is around 8 lpa .the college is very much supportive.
The infrastructure of Nit srinagar is not too good . All the bulidings are old but classrooms are very good and attractive. The hostels are average. The roofs are not good their is problem of drainage system.
The facilities are well qualified and having good knowledge but they can't delever the topic in good explanation. But some teachers are very good and they are very supportive and experienced the way of teaching is very good but only for 1-2 teachers in a semister .
Placement are average but in 2023 the placement was about 96% but this year placement are not too good about 30% of students are placed till now which is not good and number of companies visited aur college is less.
The academic fee is not too high it depends on your family income if your income is below one lakh then your fee is 10500 for a semister and if your income is above one lakh then your fee is 23000 if your income is above five lakhs then your fee is 75k hostel fee is 8000 for a semester. And mess bill is 4500 for a month.
The campus Life is not too much good their is a small ground and a football track but life out of the college is too good because their are many places where you can go and enjoy too much. For girls you can not go outside your hostal after 10 pm in evining.
My opinion is the college is not too good but not too bad I will give 6 points out of 10 .
The infrastructure at our college is quite good and still under development. The wifi facilities is much better than expected, even we experience 5G network over the campus. Living space and food is clean and hygenic.
Almost all the faculties are phd, research is work is greatly appreciated and the academics at the college is quite good. faculties are too helping in nature. the curriculum is updated every year, faculties also manages the clubs which promotes the extra learning for the students.
Placements are offered in the month of oct to jan at our college, the average placement is fine enough, it's better for technical branches and for the core branches placements in electrical and mechanical is also nice. the average package of technical branches is 13 lpa and for the core branches it is 8-9 lpa
There is a lot of concessions for students, eg for sc/st or students with below 1 lakh family income doesn't have to pay any tuition fee, for students with below 5 lakh family income have to pay just the 1/3rd of the tuition fee, hence the value for money at out institute is great.
Students can engage in various activities e.g sports events, workshops, labs, clubs etc. The students teacher and the staff are friendly in nature, the campus area is a very safe place to live, there is an infermery inside the college campus, and have 2-3 ambulances, so yes it can handle emergencies, even crpf is always there at the main gate.
Overall the college is a great place with beautiful scenaries, and great administration.
