You can appear for the JEE- Mains April session without appearing in the January session. In that case you'll not have a chance to improve your score in comparison to the ones appearing twice. It depends on you whether or not you want to take both the January and the April sessions.

Yes you can give the jee main april attempt. Even you havnt given the jee main 2020 exam.
The april attempt application will starts from February 7th. You can give your application from February 7th
And the examination will be held on 5,7,8,9,11 of April . The specific date will be mentioned in your hallticket
