College of engineering, Pune is one of top colleges in maharashtra and admission in the college is Through MHCET and not JEE mains. The ranking and the allotment is only done on the basis of ranking in MHCET, so if you get good rank in MHCET you can definitely get COEP.

For this year, admission to COEP Pune is going to be  done on the basis of rank secured in MH-CET only and Mains marks won't work.Earlier it(Mains marks) used to be the criteria for admission to COEP but as I searched off little I find that they are not granting any admission on the basis of JEE Mains this year thus only basis would be MH-CET rank.So prepare well for both the exams and Best of luck.

Earlier the admissions to COEP, Pune would be on the basis of JEE Main.

But now the admissions to any branch of COEP, Pune are solely on the basis of marks scored in the Maharashtra - Common Entrance Test (MHT- CET).

No, you need to register yourself for another test called MHT-CET. Based in the merit list of this examination, the candidates are called for the further admission process. The registration process for tests can be looked on Internet.
