Aspiring students need to have passed M.Sc. (Nutrition & Dietetics) degree in B.H.Sc. / B.Sc. (Home Science) with specialization in the related field like BSc (Home Science  or Biosciences, Medical Science ,Allied Medical or Nutrition & Dietetics and Food Technology) or microbiology or biotechnology or equivalent,  to be eligible for entrance exam.

Some colleges and institutes conduct entrance examination for admission.

It is a good scope after your BSc in microbiology however  you can also  go for

biochemistry.

biotechnology.

environmental microbiology.

genetics.

medical microbiology.

MSc Nutrition and dietics is a two years post graduation course. After completing this course you can work as nutrionist or dietitian.

The eligibility to apply for this course is B.Sc degree with life science course.

Some institutions give admission only to B.Sc nutrition science and dietics, or B.Sc home science candidate.While some allow admission to candidates from broader discipline like Medical or Non-Medical or biosciences or medical science or allied medical science or Nutrition and Dietetics or Food Technology or Veterinary Microbiology and Parasitology or Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology or Clinical Chemistry or Public Health and Allied Sciences) or equivalent.

So you can prefer Msc nutrition and dietics course after bsc microbiology. It has a very good scope nowadays due to increasing awareness about health and lifestyle problems. However before applying to any college you should check the eligibility criteria as it varies from institution to institution.
