According to the University Guidelines, you have to add the scores of three main subjects with one language subject, which can be either English or Hindi. You cannot include both of the language subjects together in your best four score.
Whereas, depending on which course you want to apply for, decides the rest of the three main subjects you have to include.
You can check the List on the official website of Delhi University, which states all the A category subjects in which you do not have to face any deduction of marks if you include those subjects in your Best four score. On the contrary, including an elective subject in your main best of four score results in a deduction of 2-5% from your best four score.
