Raja, typically, one has to spend a period of 11 years to become a Doctor in the US. In India, it is around 7-8 years. Now once you complete your MD/MS in India, you cannot get a  job in the US right away. You need to clear the License Exam which is USMLE. There are 3 steps of USMLE and you need to clear USMLE to legally practise in India. Unless you clear USMLE, you cannot practise in the US.
