Hi, Admission through ECA in DU is to get a seat in the college for a particular course. Students to take admission in DU have a legal binding to take part in the same activity/join the DU society for the particluar activity. Those students who didn't take admission through ECA quota can also enroll for joining extracurricular activities and join various socities by giving auditions for the same. The auditions are conducted by the college seniors who are a part of the society. So any one can take part in the society as long as they appear for the auditions and get selected.
