IMI Kolkata is an average college. The academics are definitely good but the placements are not up to the mark. Some students do get placed with an average compensation package of 4-5 lakhs and most of the companies like Arohan Financial Services, ICICI Lombard,TCS and others conduct pool campusing to recruit students from such B schools in Kolkata. But if you're inclined towards finance and have limited options in terms of colleges then you can go for it.

Moreover if you're looking for a college in Kolkata only you can also apply for the written test of IBSAT as all the campuses including IBS Kolkata provide better placement opportunities for finance  and marketing as compared to IMI.
