Hey there
AICTE has said that chemistry is not mandatory for admissions in BTech, BE courses just physics and mathematics is important with any other extra subject including biology and biotechnology. However if you wish you can take chemistry as the optional. This is just a notification till now it's implementation will be from next session that is 2021 tentatively.
Good luck
If you want to get into colleges like ICT, IIT pursuing Chemical Engineering Btech course, then of course you've to go forward with Chemistry subject. But yes as per the question you asked, choosing CS then assuming that you want to get into CSE, then nope there's not much use of chemistry in btech course. So you can choose another subject ie CS for sure.
Best wishes. Thank you.
