IIITs are much better than VIT . VIT is an average Institute with good students having average and sometimes below par faculties(exception are everywhere). IIITs have far better faculties and facilities than VIT .

But it should be kept in mind that all IIITs are not better than VIT, the advice differs from branch to branch with IIITs. For exmaple, VIT, Vellore is much better than IIIT Banglore.
