No, it was in UPTU till 2013. Now it is a technical university known as Madan mohan malaviy university of technology established under Uttar Pradesh Government. MMMUT Conducts it's own entrance exam every year in the month of May since 2013. You can try for a lot of other colleges like REC and IET ,KNIT, and some private too which are having a good ranking. You should try spot councelling in order to increase the chances of getting better colleges such as IERT etc.
