a country's environment is only protected when its people try and act in ways that protects it in difficult circumstances. And so has happened in india on many ocassions when the environment was on the brink of being destroyed. Peoples movements such as the Bishnoi movemet of rajasthan , the chipko movement of uttrakhand, Save silent valley movement of kerala, jangal bachao andolan of bihar are few examples of movements where the entire community has come together, not to just save the environment but also voice their opinions and create a movement which is unique and historic.
