Well, SFTIs are Self financed technical institutes or Private institutes, So, definitely SFTIs are not govt. college, but their academics, infrastructure, etc... are good, but, in terms of placements it is good but not like the Top IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs etc...

If you are getting a seat in IIT, top 25 NITs , top 12 IIITs, or BIT mesra then go for it ... but if not then consider SFTIs through CSAB (you can refer https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/csab-sfti ), or private institutes through direct admission, or on 12th Marks or other admission processes...

Csab sfti is one of the three modes of admission channel only for self financed technical institutes.
CSAB SFTI was not conducted previously due to lack of participating institutes.
But this year csab sfti will be conducted and it's only for self financed technical institutes or private colleges.

The csab special round counseling is held for all nits, iiits, iiest and all gftis.

So, csab sfti and csab special round counseling is not same and neither a subset of csab sfti. So, csab sfti has not the same value as csab special round counseling for nits, iiits, iiest and gftis.
