School of Engineering, Cochin University of Science and Technology (SOE-CUSAT) was established in 1978 for offering part-time MTech Programs in the major disciplines of engineering like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical. Research activities were introduced in 1981 with Ph.D. Programs. The School introduced B.Tech Programs in various streams in 1995.  A number of research projects have been sanctioned to the School. The college has been ranked 178 by the NIRF for the year 2020.
