When it comes to preferring Deemed Universities it is a very tricky thing because almost every university tries to be better and maintain their standards. Here both VIT and SRM are very good universities and ranked at top. But slight difference gives preference to VIT in my opinion.

Coming to the academics and placements both are very good to my knowledge.when comparing to the environment if you come from a village background you can choose VIT it suites you to learn and explore.If you want a decent atmosphere you can choose SRM. Take a good decision and proceed your career.

Higher education plays an important role in shaping one's future. It is very important to choose a good college for your higher studies. The decision to choose VIT or SRM can vary from one person to other so I will compare both so that you can choose accordingly.

• VIT University is spread across a 300 acre campus whereas SRM is spread over an area of 250 acres.
• Fee of VIT in course B.Tech is Rs. 1,76,000 for first year and for SRM it varies from Rs.1,50,000 to 2,00,000
• A total of 690 companies visited VIT in 2019 with total of 6180 job offers. Highest package was 41.60 LPA and average was 6.05 LPA. Top Recruiter was Microsoft.    Over 600 companies visited the campus of SRM where Microsoft offered a student with package of Rs.38.5 lakhs. The super dream companies like Amazon, CISCO etc, offerd salary packages around Rs. 10 LPA. The dream companies offered around 5LPA. Average Placements are around 4LPA.

Both the colleges are equally well known and widespread. So it is completely your choice to choose which one suits you better according to your location or other needs. According to me, VIT will be more better because of its better foreign relations. It is up to you what you want to choose.

VITEE is conducted to get Admissions in Vellore institute of technology and SRM JEE is conducted to give admissions in SRM institute of science and technology.

Taking about placement, VIT holds a Limca guiness world record for more than 1000 students being placed in a single company.

The major recruiters in VIT are Intel, IBM, VM care, Continental, Honeywell, Alcatel-Lucent, Accenture, Wipro, ST Microelectronics, Tata Technologies, Deloitte, Cognizant, Infosys, Robert Bosch, Flipkart, Ebay and Deshaw.

The major recruiters in SRM are TCS, Wipro, I-Gate, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Virtusa, Scope, L&T ECC, Capgemini and MU Sigma.

In SRM, around 90 out of 115 students are placed every year on average.

The fee structure of VIT(7.8 lacs) is less than SRM(10 lacs) for entire course. But, VITEE is said to be more difficult than SRM JEE.
Both are AICTE approved Colleges. The NIRF has given 18 rank to VIT and 36 rank to SRM.

Both are good and have good performance in Placement activities. It improves every year.  VIT  has good reviews from the students related to the facilities and services provided by the college. Faculties are also good.

SRM institute of Science and technology is a top college and mostly considered due to placement performance of the college.

The average placement salary will be 6lpa. Both the colleges are top and high rated colleges and they try to improve every year.
