A course in agricultural engineering that leads to a diploma is called agricultural engineering. The discipline of agricultural engineering is covered in agricultural engineering courses. It is a field of study that uses engineering principles to the production and processing of food. Agricultural engineering is a field of study that blends the understanding of agricultural concepts with the disciplines of civil, animal, plant, and electrical engineering. This course lasts three years, broken down into six semesters.

The minimum level necessary for admission into this programme is passing the 12th grade or an equivalent assessment with at least a 55 percent average across all disciplines. The state has more specialised education than the vast majority of states in India, and it uses entrance exams for admittance to the state's polytechnics' confirmation programmes.
