Hello, A gap certificate is necessary if a candidate has took a break in between his education. It is useful to take admission in another college and can be provided as justification of your break in career options. It cannot be self made you will need a lawyer to produce a gap certificate. If the gap is due to medical reasons proving a medical certificate will be enough in most institutions unless a specified gap certificate is requested.
