There are five ways a candidate may fulfill the domicile criteria for NEET in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra state candidature type A:

• The candidate should have passed their class 10 and 12 from the state of Maharashtra.

• Aspirants should have a domicile certificate from the state of Maharashtra (should have lived there for a period of 10 years), or a birth certificate mentioning the place of birth in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra state candidature type B:

• Studying class 10 and 12 from the state of Maharashtra is mandatory.

• The candidate’s father or mother should have a domicile certificate from the State of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra state candidature type C:

• Students must have completed their class 10 and 12 from the state.

• The candidate’s father or mother should be a Government of India employee or Government of India undertaking, who is posted and reporting to duty in the State of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra state candidature type D:

• One should pass class 10 and 12 from the Maharashtra state.

• The candidate’s father or mother should be an employee of the Government of Maharashtra or the Government of India undertaking.

Maharashtra state candidature type E:

• The candidate should have passed their class 10 and 12 from a recognized Institution from the Maharashtra-Karnataka border.

• The mother tongue of the candidate should be Marathi and they should have a domicile/ birth certificate from the Maharashtra-Karnataka border area.
