The NMC's Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 (PGMER-23) mandate that PG students at private and state-run colleges receive equal stipends of 50,000–70,000 per month. The regulations also require colleges to provide residential accommodation and grant PG students a minimum of 20 days of casual leave per year.
