Vellore Institute of Technology recently announced that they have cancelled the entrance exams in view of Covid-19 and the institute said that the admissions for engineering programmes for 2020-21 would be based on Class XII board exam marks/ Pre-university marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics/ biology.
They also mentioned that students who have scored in JEE mains will be given weightage.
So, they have not clearly said that what has more weightage, they just said selection will be based on 12th marks and Jee scores will get weightage.
So, selection will based on certain percentage which is not specified yet.
