As per my knowledge you haven't needed stethoscope in this course. This course mainly focuses on the brain and its activity. The main area of this course will EEG, function and measurement of brain activity, and  the white coat its depend upon the college and university you get into. Certain university or college has compulsory wear their respective symbols coat and can wear any kind of coat.
