Hey,

The counselling for MBBS and BDS both takes places simultaneously. The students are allotted seats as per their rank in a counseling round. If their marks are eligible for MBBS they will get MBBS seat and if for BDS they will be allotted BDS.  If they are eligible for upgradation they will be upgraded seats in the second round counseling.
