Hey Yash,

Yes, Delhi University accepts character certificate signed by a gazetted officer but not by an MLA. Make sure that the certificate is not older than 6 months and do carry 3-4 photocopies of every document during admission.

I took admission the previous year in Hansraj College and submitted character certificate signed by tehsildar and it was accepted.

Hope it helps, good luck for admissions!

What I have to do that ask gazetted officer to provide me a character certificate. Will he/she provide me a character certificate?

You need to reach the nearby tehsil office. Gazetted officers have a format of character certificate already. Fill the form and request the officer to attest it for you. It would be better if you already have contacts in the office. Carry a proof of id along with you.
