Hi,
Your answer:The Department of English, Delhi University, conducts an entrance test every year - DU CATE Exam. The test is also known as Delhi University Common Aptitude Test for English. The University conducts this entrance test for the admission of students to its undergraduate level programme  BA (Hons) English. The entrance test is conducted at 12 affiliated colleges of the University. The SC/ST/PH/foreign students need not appear for this entrance test, because they are admitted directly to the course, according to the rules of the University. For the final selection, candidates marks in the qualifying examination are also determined along with the merit in the common aptitude test.
Hope this helps!
