Then with respect to this question ,I am going to tell you my opinion!! STRICTLY THIS IS MY OPINION!!! so... 

An educational institute imparts more than bookish knowledge to you. It chisels you and carve out a personality. It works on your attitude.
i will preferDTU because
1.) DTU/DCE is the oldest engineering college of delhi estb.1941
and NSIT estb.1981
2.) it is having strongest alumni network ( you can search for the notable alumnis of DTU & NSIT on wikepidia and you will get to know that DTU is having a pool of them and NSIT doesn't have any)
3.) DTU offers to choose whatever you want to do, its having around 100+ societies and around 12 tech-teams(DTU is having one of the best tech team in india i.e UAS)
4.) DTU is the first college in india to manufacture and import carbon nanotubes
5.) its having bio-diesel laboratory
6.) its having amazing infrastructure
7.) it offers numerous branches 15 to be exact and THIS IS THE REASON BEHIND WHY DTU IS HAVING LARGER CROWD THAN NSIT
8.) NSIT is still developing it started mexhanical engineering in 2015 it is not having CORE branches like ELECTRICAL, CIVIL
9.) if you are going to compare packages NSIT DOESN'T have better placements than DTU BECAUSE BOTH DON'T PUBLISH THEIR PLACEMENTS
10.) NSIT IS HAVING MORE no. of SEATS IN EACH BRANCH as compared to DTU which LOGICALLY means NSIT IS HAVING MORE CROWD IN EACH OF ITS BRANCH AS COMPARED TO DTU
11.) 8 students who got placed in google APPLIED OFF CAMPUS it has to do nothing with college LEGALLY they can't even PUBLISH THIS PLACEMENT
12.) NSIT is quite famous in delhi due to the teachers OF Vidya mandir classes (VMC ) they are promoting it like hell
13.) DTU recently upgraded its syllabus and is the latest one in INDIA and you have choice of elective courses
14.) and if you are saying that nsit's faculty is better than u r just listening to other guys and not doing research on this thing around 2/3 fraculty of our faculty members are P.hd holders and some of them are just kickass good u just can't repeat them because others are saying
14.) DTU IS FAMOUS NOT ONLY IN INDIA BUT ALSO IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES
PROOF -
in SAT cutoff of 2015 for various indian colleges only 2 colleges were there for which comp. science cutoff was a perfect score i.e 2400/2400 and those two colleges are
DTU
NIT SURATHKAL
