The highest package is in the range of 8–10 LPA. Almost 20% students get more than 6 LPA package. Average salary is 5–5.5 LPA (according to 2016–17 data).

The major recruiters are Tata steel, CESC, Vedanta, L&T, Haldia petrochem, MN dastur, HSBC, PWC, delloite, Mu Sigma, EXL, ZS, and mass recruiters like IBM, Infosys, cognizant, wipro and some of the new recruiters like Vikram solar, otis, techno India (2017). Also there are some renowned companies like coal India, Siemens, voltas, Tata bluescope, lister technology, foster wheeler, Linde, Tata metaliks, Rice group, Britannia which also come for placement of Electrical Engineering students.
