Hello,
The fees structure for Engineering may vary due to several factors such as nature of the course(degree), institution's infrastructure, nature of the institution(either government or private).

Pursuing engineering in government institutions usually costs less than that of private institutions.  In an average, a 4 year Btech course in a government college can costs upto(only the Tuition fee) 2 lakhs whereas, it will be around 5 to 12 lakhs in a private institutions.

The job opportunities are brighter in government institutions that that of private ones.  So, get yourself prepare for competitive exams to get admitted into government institutions.
