Sea-water also contains salts of metals like sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, etc. The natural materials in which the metals or their compounds are found in earth are called minerals. For example Rock salt, Bauxite, Pyrolusite, Cuprite and many more. Some minerals may contain a large percentage of metal whereas others may contain only a small percentage of the metal.
