Both category rank under state quota and all india rank is considered for allotment of seat in medical colleges across India.

First preference is given to the candidate with having domicile of his/her state and then preference is given to the candidates of other states.

I hope this information is helpful to you.

Dear Sir  / Ma'm, for the 15% All India quota counselling, your All India rank will be considered during the whole process. Whereas for the 85% state quota counselling quota, the state will release a rank list of its own after a ceratin formalities exclusive to the state. According to the state rank list, you will be allotted colleges according to your choices.
