Hey!

University of Delhi's office does not keep the documents. The original documents are kept by respective colleges from the time of admission.
Usually, the documents are returned after completion of one year if you want. These can also be returned whenever you need them for work e.g. driving licence, passport, visa etc.
Some colleges keep the documents till the end of third year and return them before you graduate. Some return earlier.
The time varies from one college to another.
You will know the rules once you secure admission there.

Best wishes!

So you can let them know about this and then submit your documents later. It is better to talk to them directly about this.
