B.tech: Till 2016 all btech student having good CGPA were absorbed by ISRO but from this year(2017) onwards ISRO might come for campus placement but its not sure. So we are approaching companies for placements and succeeding also but it will take some time to achieve 100% placement as before.

M.Tech and Phd: ISRO never came for placement. Some companies visits IIST but mostly students search for suitable company by themselves. Now more companies are coming as B.Tech students are participating too and also offering good package of around 8lpa. But including on-campus and off-campus still placements are around 60%. One more important thing is some programs are mainly toward research and its better to go for higher studies after this or join institute like ISRO.
