The very basic criteria is that you must have completed your class 12 with PCB and English with an aggregate of 50% marks.

You must remember that you have ONLY 3 attempts to give. There is no age limit for appearing for NEET-UG examination as of now.

Yes , you are eligible for giving neet ug exam.once you got the admission in medical college . You have to withdrawn your admission from engineering college. I had such one friend in my batch who dis 1 year of electrical engineering then came to mbbs field.

If you had biology in 11th and 12th std and you fulfill the criteria given under , then you can attempt neet exam





Lower Age Limit: Candidates should complete 17 years at the time of admission or will completed on or before 31st December 2018

Upper limit : no



Unreserved Category (UR)Born before 1st January 2002

SC/ST/OBC CategoryBorn before 1st January 2002



Qualification Criteria



Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed the higher/senior secondary examination or ISCE which is equivalent to 10+2 examination after a period of 12 years study.

Subjects: Candidates must pass the above qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & Mathematics or any other elective subjects with English.

Minimum Marks: Candidates must secure minimum 50% marks (GEN), 40% marks (SC/ST/OBC), 45% marks (GEN PH) & 40% marks (SC/ST/OBC-PH) taken together in PCB subjects.

Appearing Candidates: Candidates who are in the 12th standard can also apply. They must have to show the passing certificates complying with the percentage criteria at the time of first round of counselling.



Candidates must be the citizen of India.

NRIs (Non-Resident Indians), OCIs (Overseas Citizen of India), PIOs (Persons of Indian Origin) & Foreign Nationals can also apply.

See if you have opted for biology in 11the and 12th and this NEET would be your first NEET examination than surely you would be able to write the NEET examination there's no requirement for any permission of any authority if you fullfill the above criteria so for appearing in the NEET examination so be relaxed and study hard.

hey, yeah you can take exam if you belong to biomaths stream during ur 11 th and 12th grade, i assume u had maths as u r in be now, hence i mean biomaths or just a biology group is fine. good luck

Hey hi,



Yeah you can write NEET if you fulfill the eligibility criteria.



For that you have to discontinue the course you are doing now. The procedure depends on the college and the university you are in now. So approach them and they will guide you.

Sir cant i write exam and after getting my result cant i discontinue the course may i know sir plz and moreover i can nly leave after getting a seat in medical so plz can u help me to decide

First approach your college and ask them about that. Make sure that you can discontinue and enquire everything about it. You can discontinue after getting the seat and is enough

You can write NEET exam if you fulfill below eligibility criteria

You should have completed 17 years of age. There is no upper age limit for NEET.

- You can attempt NEET three times only. Your first attempt will be counted from 2017.

- You should have 50% aggregate marks in P/C/B in general category. For SC/ST/OBC you should have aggregate 40% marks in P/C/B.

You can't do two regular degree.
If you take admission in medical college you have to leave your engineering course.

Mohammad Tanzil Hello Bro. I'm Here in the same situation. I'm from Karnataka & I'm studying in B.E 1st year, but now I'm not feeling comfortable with engineering, so I want to write NEET once again in 2020. Will you please tell me how you came up with the situation & plz help me what should i do?

Mohammed Saif I am too in that situation and also from Karnataka but u have to pay all the 4 years fee to withdraw BE course
