Dear Candidate,

After completing your Diploma in Mechanical Engineering , you can't get admission in IIT's. There are many colleges in India which offers B.Tech Lateral Entry to diploma holders. By this you are directly admitted to that college in 2nd year. But it is not the case with IIT's. To join IIT's you have to give JEE Advance exam.

There is no provision for special entry in IIT's. But i f you want to study higher, then surely you can go into IIT's by giving the GATE exam after completing your B.Tech. But now you can't get admission in UG courses in IIT's.
