Since your rank in VITEEE is so large i.e above 1.5 lakh which can't help you take any branch at any campus of VIT. So don't worry about that still many other good private colleges are there in India. Go with your JEE mains mark.

With the above mentioned rank the possibilities of getting admission in VIT vellore campus is very difficult. however there is a slight possibility for getting admitted to chennai campus but eventhough if you got admitted the fees structure would be pretty high. All the best!
