I am afraid that if you have selected a different caste category other than your original one while filling the application in Delhi University, then your application for admission in Delhi University will be canceled or rather not accepted as you will fail to produce your mentioned caste certificate when asked for document verification before counseling for admission into Delhi University.

What you can do to avoid this circumstance is that you can write a letter to the Dean of Delhi University stating the issue along with a copy of your original caste certificate and your application form that you had taken a printout of and hope for the best that they consider your application.
