The department of physical education of the panjab University was started in the year 1963 with MA in physical education. The department has hence emerged as one of the prestigious centres of physical education in India. It has won various awards and made a distinguished place for itself.At present the department offers bachelor in physical education masters in physical education mphil doctoral and post doctoral programmes. The faculty at campus are highly skilled and qualified. 

Now since you have just completed 12th class you are not eligible to apply for the course. 

It's bachelor in physical education. It's a 2 year course. It has a total of 36 seats as per the official website. I guess this has not been updated so the seats may vary. 

Following is the eligibility criteria for applying to the course - 

Bachelor degree in any discipline with minimum of 50 per cent marks and you must have participated in atleast inter college, inter zonal, District, school competitions in any sports and games which are recognised by the government of India. 

The relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and the reservation of seats shall be based on the category and as per the rules of the central government.

Bachelor of arts in physical education is an undergraduate physical education course .The duration of course is 3 years. 

The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing B. A(Physical education ) degree is qualifying 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.
