Hi Smriti

For getting admission in the Home Science course, the basic eligibility criteria is -

Candidate must have passed senior school certificate examination that is 10+2 from recognized institution.

English is a mandatory subject. The three papers are from Science, Home Science, Commerce or Social Science streams.

For the purpose of merit preparation, one language (English) and three subjects (core/elective) from the stream mentioned above are taken into consideration for determining the eligibility. This is how you calculate your best four percentage.

Thanks

Hello smriti,

Hope you're doing well.

For english honours, you need to calculate the best four percentage out of which english is compulsory. There are some subjects, who are not the core ones and hence, 2.5 percent is deducted from the best 4 you calculated. But you can go for home science +english+any 2 out of PCB, it won't be deducted.

Thankyou
