The eligibility criteria is that the candidate should have passed 10+2 in Science or Bio group with 45% in aggregate. Maximum age limit for general candidates is 21 years and for OBC/SC/ST - 23 yrs from a recognized university.

The syllabus consists of two parts. Section 1: General Knowledge, Numerical Aptitude, Language and Computer basics. Section 2: Subject knowledge.
