• The provisional merit list is the first list released by the admission committee.
• The final merit list will be prepared after accepting and considering the grievances of the candidates after the release of the provisional merit list.
• Every college as per its selection criteria publishes its 1st list of the selected students for admission( this list usually comprises of the students with the highest marks/percentile).
• If a number of seats are still left vacant, then a college prepares a second list to fill them up
