Hi, Yes you can join even if you are from other state. The engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu admit students based on their 12th board marks (Maths, physics and Chemistry) . To get into MIT you will have to score very high in your respective board exams. However when it comes to student from other states, there is a separate date for counciling with a slightly different cut off mark. Good Luck.
